Soul Survivor is an annual Christian youth festival that has been running for a
number of years now, and takes place at the Bath & Wells County showground just outside
of Bath. About 10,000 students and teenagers from all over the country usually attend
each of the two weeks of the festival. They camp at the show-
Each year, we take a large number of teenagers away to Soul Survivor, arranging travel by coach, handling the festival bookings, and offering to provide food for the week. Due to the nature of the event, we can only take young people who are in yr9 or above, and advise parents that although a certain level of supervision will be provided, young people coming must be responsible enough to behave in an appropriately mature way without necessarily being watched over 24 hours a day.
Supervision
On a practical level, the supervision we offer, and the guidelines that we expect any young people coming with us to follow, are as follows:
The festival is held within a fenced, secure site, and young people are free to use their time as they please, unsupervised, as long as they do not leave the Soul Survivor site at any time.
However, young people coming with us will be split into a number of small groups,
each with an allocated leader, and they will be expected to sign in with their leader
(and eat together as a group) at every meal-
No illegal drugs or alcoholic drinks are allowed on site.
Young people coming with us will be expected to sleep in their own tent at night, not in a friend’s tent, or outside on the ground.
Boys will not be allowed in girls’ tents nor girls in boys’ tents unless it’s during the day, within an open, communal area or porch and the tent door is open. Any boys and girls found to have been sharing a tent at night will be immediately sent home.
If young people are unable to follow these guidelines for the duration of the week, then we will have no choice but to send them home, and we will call their parents to arrange for them to be collected from the showground.

Food
Although there are a number of cafes and food outlets on site during the festival, we do cater for the group that we take, and young people coming with us shouldn't need much extra money, although there will be a book & CD shop on site.
